Our Program Partners are the lifeblood of CTAOP –– they are locally-led, community based organizations on the ground across Southern Africa, implementing innovative programs which serve and empower young people.

In December 2022, CTAOP brought together all 4 cohorts of the Youth Leaders Scholarship for the first time at the inaugural Leadership Summit to bond over shared experience, learn from each other, and grow. We know these young leaders are going to build the world they and their communities deserve, where they can thrive –– because they’ve already started building it.

CTAOP was born in 2007, when our founder Charlize Theron FOUND HER WHY in the youth of Southern Africa.

It’s now 15 years later, and we have a whole lot to celebrate. In honor of our Program Partners, our team, and all the young people we work every day to support, we’re so excited to share this video commemorating all that we’ve learned and accomplished together –– and all we’re dreaming towards in the next 15 years. None of this is possible without our village.
